Waymo’s autonomous robotaxis can be exhibible for personal property in the future, Alphabet Sundar CEO Pichai Saying.

The vehicles are currently the only robotaxis of drisveress that collect rates on the walks in the United States, operating a fleet of 700 vehicles, with the majority based in San Francisco.

“There is a future optional for personal property,” said Pichai a subsequent call for profits on Thursday, although he did not provide a timeline or details about the possible sale price.

Waymo’s autonomous robotaxis can be unexpected for personal property in the future, said Alphabet’s CEO, Slundar Pichai. Reuters

The presence of Waymo has been growing, completing more than 250,000 totally autonomous trips every week, according to the alphabet. Robotaxis is on the road in San Francisco, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Austin, with plans to expand to Atlanta, Miami and Washington, DC.

“This is probably the first question I have in a waymo gain call,” Pichai joked, after they asked me about personal property. “It’s a sign of progress.”

Google does not manufacture the vehicles themselves, but depends on the associations with Uber, the vehicle finance site and the main car manufacturers such as Hyundai, Jaguar and the Chinese EV manufacturer Zeekr.

Futuristic drisveress taxis depend on a combination of cameras and lidar sensors to create road maps.

The rival Tesla, who plans to launch a Robotaxi pilot program in June, uses only cameras and artificial intelligence for his autonomous cars, which allows him to keep the competitors already at bay at bay and CEO Elon Musk.

“Teslas probably costs a quarter, 20%, or what a Waymo costs and manufactured in a very high volume,” Musk said Tuesday.

“I don’t see anyone capable of competing with Tesla today,” he added.

The launch of Robotaxis in June, which will take place in Austin, Texas, will probably be limited, since it is only a pilot program to begin with.

But Musk said that a more widespread display of taxis will arrive soon.

“I predict that there will be millions of teslas operating autonomously, totally autonomous, in the second half of next year,” said the call.

Tesla also aims to launch its Robotaxi service in several other United States states this year. Analysts have warned that this could be a difficult task, since its autonomous driving technology has fought in more complex scenarios, such as bad weather, complicated intersections and unpredictable pedestrian behavior.

The MUSK car manufacturer will submerge its fingers in new legal waters with robotaxis, since it previously only has a partial autonomous driving.

For a long time, accidents that involve their automatic pilot and complete self -employed systems to drivers, arguing that they warn them to remain alert and ready to take the wheel.

Last December, General Motors left its version of totally autonomous vehicles, a money loss business called rival Cruise.

The automobile manufacturer paid a $ 500,000 (admitted mizleading researchers in a 2023 accident that involved one of the autonomous vehicles.
