A 16 -year -old boy was arrested on Friday, suspected of running over and killing a man who tried to stop thieves in his brother in South El Monte earlier this month, authorities said.
Kouurah “Steve” Yaghoubi, 60, was killed after the thieves of confrontated stores in the family giant discounts of his brother on April 9. The teenager supposedly ran around Yaghoubi when the young and others fled, police said. It is not clear that the teenager was inside the store at any time of the incident.
Yaghoubi was unconscious and suffered a blunt force of force when the authorities arrived, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s department of Los Angeles County.
