Meet the professional wedding plus one than chaperona couples of couples on their big day: make dogs post for photos and move away from the cake.

Dog lover Rebecca McBride, 26, begins her business after leaving a doctorate in biology in 2023.

She sacrifices couples the opportunity to include a furry friend in her big day to be “by hand” with her dog, to help them include them in the wedding photos and even the ceremony itself.

There is also the option to spend the night, with Rebecca delivering them safely to the wedding place to pay.

She charges $ 400 for the service and is reserved until the end of 2025, with her strangest applications, including doing the same for cats and a bearded dragon.

Rebecca, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, said: “I have reserved 50 weddings this year.

“It has just been spiral since last summer.

“I am there just to remove any stress with a dog that attends a wedding.

“I have a back bag and from the beginning of the day I get them [the dog] recognize where the sweets are and keep them focused on me

“There is an aspect of training them to focus on me.

“I have a small squeak in my pocket for photos.

“I always say that my work is to keep them calm.

“The day I find a quiet space designated for the dog to leave.

“If they get a little hyperactive and many things are happening, I will remove them and have many mastications and kongs of peanut butter.”

Rebecca first had the idea of becoming a dog companion when I was in college.

She said: “I was working in hospitality on weekends, at one of the weddings in Scotland there was a dog there.

“As a dog lover, I thought it was the best of all.

“As a waitress, I shoulder bone that serves drinks, but I asked if they needed to take their dog to walk.

“I always had weddings at the bottom of my mind.

“The wedding industry is huge in Ireland.

“Once I got the name, I just had to do it.”

On an average day, Rebecca picks up the happy couple’s dog and leads them to walk, before going to the place.

“Most of the time I take them to the reception,” he said.

“Sometimes I am there in the end with the dog when the bride walks down the hall, it’s like a comfort blanket.

“I have also made dogs deliver rings around the hall.

“You can listen to everyone at the IR ‘AWW ceremony.

“Many of the places here have a lot of space, so I can take them to walk while the ceremony is underway.

“I can help with the photos and work with the photographers who possess them with sweets.

“Many people trust family and friends [to look after the dog] But obviously they are all at the wedding, so I take them home to sleep until I leave the next day. “

Rebecca has seen the content of your business to take off online, with sweet videos gaining a lot of traction.

“I had one, the bride booked me as a surprise for the boyfriend,” he said.

“Hello, I didn’t know that the dog was attending.

“It was a great Golden Retriever called Humphrey, who surprised the boyfriend when he left the ceremony.

“It has a million visits on Facebook.

“It was the most surprising moment.

“The photographers said that the boyfriend was more emotional to see his dog than the bride.”

He currently offers three different packages with prices that start at $ 265, Rebecca works “very long days” while directing the business alone and is looking to expand during the summer.
