In addition to protesting the visit of Ben-Gvir, the protest occurred on the anniversary of the authorities that broke the first camp on the campus by the anti-Israel protesters. Yale Police arrested 48 individuals, 44 or who were students at that time.

Some of the student protesters had previously received university warnings for violating their policies and will be “subject to immediate disciplinary measures,” said Yale.

“The event is held in the context of a round of diplomatic meetings that the minister is celebrating in the United States, after speaking in the mansion of President Trump in the last 24 hours, and the day before at a meeting with Jewish communities in Avedard,” the Ben-Gvir office.

Ben-Gvir, a vocal supporter of President Trump, is a controversial figure that was previously condemned for causing anti-Arab racism, as well as to support a terrorist organization and once he had started from the military due to his hard-line opinions.

This week’s trip marked his first time in the United States as the Minister of National Security of Israel.
