It has to be the shoes, right?

There must be a reason why Jalen Brunson left the bank after fighting throughout the game, changed sneakers and immediately transformed into Superman for the fourth quarter.

Or maybe that is who Brunson is. Or who has proven to be. The change of shoes has just added a new wrinkle to a history of playoffs that we have already witnessed several times in New York.

“I think he got his layer,” joked the Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau.
