
Cars for races
The Silicon Valley Career Education Center (SVCTE) will organize its 19th Bob Mctaggart Custom Show and Classic Car Show on Friday, May 2 from 5 to 8 PM, in the Metropolitan Education District, 760 Hillsdale Ave. in San José.
Every year, the event attracts hundreds of Alendas who admire a wide variety of custom and classic vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, trucks and bicycles. Attendees play an active role in voting for their favorites in nine categories, which include the best car, the best car in construction, the best motorcycle, the best bicycle, the best truck, the best participation of the club, the best engine, the ugliest car and the best exhibition paint work.
The program supports the Skillsusa chapter of SVCTE, an organization of career technical students that helps students develop practical skills and leadership experience in preparation for careers in automotive technology and related industries. The previous programs have raised $ 10,000 to support student competitions and educational resources.

Rose Garden >> Productions People Productions is organizing “Disney’s Frozen Jr.” May 16-25 in the historic Hoover Theater, 1635 Park Ave. in San José.
