President Trump is expected to attend the funeral of the late Pope Francis in the city of the Vatican at the end of this week, the sources familiar with the plans tell The Post.
The funeral and burial of the late Pontiff must take place between four and six days after his death, he thought that the exact schedule has not yet been completed.
In the Easter Easter roll of the White House on Monday morning, Trump did not say if he would be at the funeral, he would tell the journalists: “I still do not know. We are going to be informed about it at this time.”
“He was a very good man who loved the world, and specialized in the people who were having a bad time and that is good for me,” added the president.
The then President George W. Bush and his wife Laura attended the 2005 funeral of John Paul II, the Pope more recently in dying in office.
Francis’s predecessor, Benedict XVI, resigned from Papacy in February 2013, almost a complete decade before his death.
