Riley Grunden is demanding the R-III School District of the Missouri mountain view about the suspension that her son received for publishing a photo of Dr. Pepper organized in the form of rifle.

Reason Magazine noted That son of Grunden, WG, Tok, a photo of the can at home on September 14, 2025, and published it on social networks. “The publication was accompanied by a trend audio file, entitled ‘AK47’, which includes an off voice that says: ‘This is the famous AK47, with more than 50 million manufactured in ten countries. The AK47 is the most popular assault rifle in the world'”.

The school director called Riley Grunden on September 15, 2025, to take into account that a father had complained about the photo and that WG would be sought after arriving at school the next day.

Although the search did not present anything that posed danger, school officials believed that the publication of social networks “brought fear of other students” and, therefore, could be seen “terrorist threat.” WG Sub -Convencer for three days was suspended.

Fox News reported That the Goldwater Institute filed a demand for the suspension, claiming that the WG position was misunderstood “to justify that it punishes for the creative expression protected by the first amendment.”

The Goldwater Institute pointed out that of the Supreme Court MAHANOY SCHOOL DISTRICT v. Bl (2021) Decision, pointing out that the ability of a school to control speech is very limited when that speech occurs outside the campus.
