SCOTUS Justice Gorsuch Argues with Lawyer over Kids’ LGBTQ Book

A book for children focused on a puppy and LGBTQ songs was a content point between a lawyer from the Maryland school district and the judge of the United States Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch, Tuesday.

The problem surrounds a case presented by parents who want the freedom to choose not to make their children read these books in their public schools, Fox News reported On Wednesday.

The recent exchange was about the book noble “Puppy pride!” By Robin Stevenson. The book is about a child attending a pride parade with family members, but family dogs lost during the event, according to the editor’s website.

In his review of the book, Editor’s Weekly He said: “This attractive introduction to pride parades for successful younger readers attests to the warmth and power of the queer community.”

Duration its recent exchange, which was recorded in Audio, Gorsuch ash The lawyer of the Public Schools of Montgomery County, Alan Schoenfeld, on the book, which was previously in the district pre-influence curriculum.

Schoenfeld said that the book was no longer in the curriculum, to which Gorsuch replied: “That is the one who is supposed to look for leather and things, and slavery, things like that.”

Breitbart news reported That “the Supreme Court appeared on Tuesday to rely in favor of the group of religious parents who sued the Maryland School Board that refused to allow their children K-5 to go out of the LGBTQ curriculum.”

In 2022, the Montgomery County Education Board announced new “included” books for K-5 students and notification of parents and options for collection of stories books that discuss topics such as “genre” transitions, proud parades and preferred pronouns. Some of the reading materials include THE PURDER OF PRIDE” Uncle Bobby Weddingand Born Ready: The real story of a boy named Penelope.

In 2023, a Federal Court confirmed a decision of the lower court with the largest school district of Maryland, and the combination of Christian, Muslim and Jewish parents appealed before the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court agreed to resume the case in January.

“Why ‘Drag Queens’ never wants to read the elderly or disabled? Why are it always children?” Another user commented.
