Anisa International, a leading cosmetic brush designer and manufacturer, has released new insights highlighting a major opportunity for beauty brands: improved brush care solutions.

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, brushes should be cleaned every 7–10 days. Regular cleaning offers a host of benefits: it extends the life of brushes; prevents buildup of dirt and bacteria; improves product application; helps avoid reapplying used product back onto the skin.

In a recent survey, consumers acknowledged the importance of clean brushes—but admitted they’re skipping the clean-up far too often. While 76% of respondents claim they clean their brushes, nearly half (49%) only do so once a month or less, and 24% say they never clean their makeup brushes at all. Consumers say the reasons of the neglect is all about convenience.

84% of consumers who clean their brushes do it because it’s more hygienic, and 65% say brushes work better when clean. Actually, 41% of them would clean them more frequently if it were easier; 39% if it extended brush life; 39% if it made makeup look better and 38% if it were faster.

To solve the brush care dilemma, Anisa International provides a range of targeted cleaning solutions. Anisa’s Brush Care Collection features: a Quick Dry Cleaner (a water-free formula that instantly lifts residue and oils with zero dry time), a Brush Wash (a gel-like, foaming cleanser that penetrates deep into brush fibers, breaking down product buildup while remaining gentle on all skin types—even sensitive skin; and accessories, from textured cleaning pads to reusable towels and multi-functional brush cups, brush care tools create a satisfying, easy-to-use routine that enhances performance and extends brush life.

“Brushes are essential tools in every beauty routine—but proper care often falls by the wayside,” says Anisa Telwar Kaicker, CEO and Founder of Anisa International. “With the right accessories and products, brands can make cleaning brushes easier, faster, and more effective for their customers.”
