Savannah Guthrie returned to NBC’s “Today” show on Monday after a two-month absence as the search for her missing mother continues.

“Good morning, welcome to ‘Today’ this Monday morning. We’re so glad you started the week with us and it’s good to be home,” Guthrie told viewers.

“Here we go, ready or not, let’s make the news,” he added, alongside co-host Craig Melvin.

“It’s good to have you back,” he said.

Guthrie wore a yellow dress and Melvin wore a yellow tie in a nod to his mother’s search.

Nancy Guthrie disappeared on February 1prompting his daughter and longtime NBC anchor to step away from the network’s flagship morning show. The nationwide search for his mother has made national headlines, but so far has yielded few clues about her whereabouts or fate.

Guthrie was very serious at first, teasing stories about the war with Iran, President Donald Trump’s Easter morning social media post, rising gas prices and the Artemis II mission to space.

Savannah Guthrie posted an Easter message on Sunday, where she spoke about her family’s agonizing struggle and the universal feeling of dealing with unanswered questions and the absence of clear resolution.

He said his perspective began to change as he reflected on the period between the death of Jesus Christ crucifixion and resurrectiona period she described as often overlooked but critical to understanding faith in times of uncertainty.

“It’s the darkness that makes this morning’s light so magnificent, so dazzlingly beautiful,” Guthrie said. “It’s even brighter because it’s desperately needed.”

SAVANNAH GUTHRIE’S EASTER MESSAGE REVEALS DISTRESS WHEN MOM WAS MISSING FOR 63 DAYS

Nancy Guthrie is believed to have been taken from her home against her will and was last seen when her son-in-law dropped her off at home around 10pm the night before she disappeared. Early in the morning, a masked man was seen at their door and appeared to be armed with a gun.

Around 2:30 a.m., her pacemaker made its last sync with her Apple devices, indicating a possible time frame for when she was taken out of the house. His watch and iPhone were recovered inside.

A series of unverified ransom notes were sent to media outlets, including TMZ and a local Tucson station, leading many to believe the disappearance has some financial motivation. No suspect has been publicly identified.

This is a developing story, there will be more to come…
