NFL Reporter Dianna Russini is no longer with X.

Russini deleted his social media account earlier Thursday. the start of the NFL Draft while facing incessant ridicule over past posts stemming from his questionable relationship with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.

Page Six published photos of Russini and Vrabel kissing at a New York City bar more than six years ago. TMZ then shared photos of the two laughing in a casino after the Titans fired Vrabel after the 2023 season.

Late on Wednesday night, Vrabel announced that he was going step away from the team to seek advice. He spoke to reporters before the first round of the draft. But he didn’t really have any answers as to why he dismissed the initial round of photos showing the two lounging and getting close at an Arizona resort during NFL meetings earlier this offseason.

Social media sleuths had already unearthed outlandish comments by Russini about Vrabel and her husband prior to Vrabel’s decision to retire Wednesday, but the additional posts found seemed to be too much for Russini.

Russini was an NFL reporter at ESPN and The Athletic, now owned by The New York Times, and by all accounts had good sources and broke important NFL news while at both outlets.

Although Strong support from The Athletic. Before the company announced an investigation, Russini resigned from the company.

“I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand by every story I have published,” his letter said. “When the Page Six article first appeared, The Athletic unequivocally supported me, expressed confidence in my work and pride in my journalism. I am grateful for that. In the days that followed, unfortunately, commentators from several outlets became involved in self-fueled speculation that is simply disconnected from the facts.

“Furthermore, this media frenzy is proceeding without regard to the review process that The Athletic is trying to complete. It continues to escalate, fueled by repeated leaks, and I have no interest in subjecting myself to a public investigation that has already caused far more damage than I am willing to accept. Rather than allow this to continue, I have decided to step aside now, before my current contract expires on June 30. I am doing so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I “I refuse to give it any more oxygen or let it define me or my career.”

Neither Vrabel nor Russini have ever addressed their relationship, whether professional or not.

For now, Vrabel still has a job as the Patriots’ head coach.
