EXCLUSIVE: Seattle Storm player Lexie Brown recently released a statement denying rumors that she and the NBA star Klay Thompson had an affair, in the midst of his recent breakup with rapper Megan The Stallion. Now, after suffering alleged death threats over the rumors, Brown criticizes Thompson and the rapper for not challenging the rumors.
“I wouldn’t have minded if one of them came out and said it because at the end of the day, they’re the ones in the relationship, they’re the ones dealing with this and they’re the ones communicating with each other. So one of them, if not both of them, knows it wasn’t me,” Brown told Fox News Digital in a recent interview.
“The truth is out there somewhere, and I was hoping it would come out from that side… that they would just allow me to be dragged, that a lot of people would allow me to be dragged through the mud… it was really disappointing.”

Of his past interactions with Thompson and Megan The Stallion, Brown said, “Klay and I know each other because we play professional basketball. I wouldn’t have considered him a friend. I don’t know Meg The Stallion at all.”
Brown, 2021 WNBA champion with the chicago skyShe initially thought one of them would question the rumors shortly after they started, while focused on a WNBA preseason game. But it never came.
“I had a game to focus on, and I literally had no time to handle that and in the back of my mind, knowing 100% that what was being said was false, someone would surely step in and say, no, this is a lie. Please point your finger somewhere else or don’t point it at all. But don’t point it at Lexi, and when the game was over, it hadn’t happened,” he added.
“I’m still the only person who has denied this whole situation of my involvement and has claimed that this is 100% false. And the fact that I’m still the only one standing up for myself, I just have no idea how to process that, and that’s the last thing I’m having a hard time processing is that there is a massive outcry to protect black women and no one has mentioned Lexie Brown’s name in any of those conversations.”
The situation reached a terrifying point for Brown, who says she was forced to take drastic measures to ensure her own safety.
“I was getting threats to my life. I was receiving threats to my health,” Brown said. “My family started receiving comments and threats from people. I had to hire security to travel with me to places. “So I got to a point where I was just scared for myself.”
Brown’s father, former NBA player Dee Brown, says the experience has been “debilitating” for him.

“As a parent, watching the negative, hateful, and most importantly, false attacks leveled at my daughter has been debilitating. Watching her live in absolute fear and exhaustion from these false attacks, and then seeing these attacks repeated by so many media outlets without even a shred of proof is beyond horrifying,” Dee Brown told Fox News Digital.
“I have never seen behavior like this. Being in the spotlight is not new for Lexie, but what is new is how social media and media have changed society for the worse. Today I say, not as a former player who understands the harsh opinions and criticism of fans, but as a father who realizes that this could be anyone’s daughter, this is simply not acceptable.”
Lexie disabled her comments and eventually deleted social media apps from her phone to focus on basketball and her mental well-being.
The stress of the situation carried a very real physical risk for Brown, who has been battling Crohn’s disease for the past three years. After a grueling journey back into shape, which included severe weight loss, multiple surgeries and a grueling stint with the Los Angeles Sparks Brown noted that this level of anxiety could have triggered a serious flare-up of his condition.
“Fortunately, right now I have a great routine and great medication. And I’ve gotten to a very, very good place, physically and mentally, where this hasn’t taken me out,” Brown said. “I absolutely could have, and I even think my decision to quit social media completely has helped me not have a breakout.”
Brown’s battle with Crohn’s disease, a chronic illness inflammatory bowel diseasebegan unexpectedly while playing for the Los Angeles Sparks in 2023. What he initially attributed to exhaustion and nerves quickly deteriorated into a serious medical emergency that required immediate intervention.
“I finally had to reach out and ask for help…I went to the hospital and had surgery 24 hours later, and that was the first of many,” Brown said.
The recovery process turned out to be an incredibly isolating and frightening experience. Brown noted that she had minimal support during her stay in Los Angeles, which left her “going back and forth to doctor’s appointments, going to and from surgeries.”
The physical and emotional toll was devastating; He lost 30 pounds and plummeted into what he described as a “really dark place, physically and mentally,” as he tried to push his body through the demands of a professional basketball season.

After a trade with the Seattle Storm, Brown finally found the structural support he desperately needed to manage his condition. He praised the Storm organization for providing a healthier, stress-free environment, highlighting 24-hour facility access, top-notch recovery tools and prepared meals.
But now, with rumors swirling about her and Thompson, not even the Seattle sanctuary has proven to be completely safe for Brown.
