donald trump He once again made a trip to the hospital on Tuesday for another “routine” medical evaluation, according to the White House. Trump spent the morning in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he received his “annual medical and dental evaluation.”

Most wouldn’t know it, but the White House medical center has its own dentist on staff, who has performed routine dental care for former presidents and staff. The justification for Trump’s visit to Walter Reed also seemed weak given that the president had a dentist appointment your personal doctor in Florida earlier this month, and the repeated health appointments he had during his second term.

Anyway, everything went well, according to Trump. “I just finished my six-month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center,” the president wrote. “Everything went PERFECTLY. Thank you to the excellent doctors and staff! Returning to the White House. President DJT.”

Trump has visited Walter Reed three times in just over a year. He will celebrate his 80th birthday next month with a UFC event in front of the White House, and questions about the health of the oldest president in American history are becoming difficult to ignore.

Over the weekend, Trump appeared at a Memorial Day celebration sporting a poorly mixed batter of foundation in his hand that has become as ubiquitous as his American flag lapel pin. The makeup is used to cover bruises on the back of the hand, for which the White House has given conflicting explanations, including claims that the injury was caused by too frequent handshakesa high dose or “big aspirin”, and that Trump Hit that specific spot on tables.

In addition to repeated medical checks and mysterious bruises, the elderly president also appears to fall asleep at meetings and during public appearances. During the Memorial Day event at Arlington Cemetery, Trump he seemed to be taking a cat nap as Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth addressed the gathered crowd. The president also seems to have slept in cabinet meetings, document signaturesand a series of public events and Meetings in the Oval Office.

Trump, who has long criticized his predecessor as an old man incapable of carrying out the duties of the office, now faces his own rapid aging while insisting that everything is fine. Last week, Trump again boasted that his cognitive assessments are stellar. “They had tough questions. You have a bear, a snake, an elephant and a horse; name the horse,” Trump counted as part of a frequently performed part intended to demonstrate your mental acuity.

in a statement to PBS News This week, the White House reaffirmed that “President Trump is the smartest and most accessible president in American history, working tirelessly to solve problems and keep his promises, and in excellent health.”

Trump and the White House have a history of making superlative claims about the president’s health, both during his first administration and since he returned to office. In April 2025, the administration released a health report touting Trump’s “frequent golf event victories” and considering him exceptionally healthy, save for some scarring around his ear from a bullet during the 2024 campaign.

Months later, in July, the White House revealed, amid questions about persistent visible swelling in Trump’s legs, that he had been diagnosed with “chronic venous insufficiency,” a condition common in the elderly. In the fall, after conspiracies emerged on social media that he was seriously ill or even dead over the Labor Day weekend, Trump wrote in Truth Social that he was alive and “NEVER FELT BETTER.”

The president visited Walter Reed again in October, bragging about getting excellent results on another IQ test, when the test he was actually given was a Screening typically used to detect dementia.. He later revealed that he received a CT scan — after having previously described the procedure as an MRI.

The White House and Trump may insist that he is in tip-top shape as he returns to the hospital, but Americans have eyes and all is clearly not well for the president.
