THE FACT THAT? Bodycare has appointed Charles Denton as chief executive and executive chairman to lead the retailer’s next phase of growth as it relaunches on the UK’s high streets with a new community-focused retail format.
THE DETAILS Denton will work alongside CEO David Stern to oversee Bodycare’s UK expansion, international franchise development, strategic brand partnerships and the launch of its new Studio Store concept. He will also lead the development of the company’s proprietary AI operating platform, designed to improve merchandising, customer engagement and retail operations. The relaunch begins with a flagship store in Sheffield, with additional UK locations planned through 2026 and beyond. Denton brings more than 30 years of retail and beauty experience, while the leadership team also includes growth advisor Tash Courtenay-Smith, CFO Alison Costello and Fold7 founder and creative director Ryan Newey.
THE WHY? Bodycare aims to transform its traditional value retail model by combining affordable health and beauty products with experiential retail, digital innovation and stronger community engagement to support long-term domestic and international growth.
