The first base referee Hunter Wendelstedt left the Mets-Twins game on Wednesday in Minneapolis after taking a rocket of a ball high on the side of his head at the top of the seventh inning.
The central gardener of the Mets, Tyrone Taylor, hit the ball that knocked Wendelstedt to the ground for several minutes before standing and was assisted outside the field.
The coach of the first base of the METS, Antoan Richardson, asked immediately when Wendelstedt was beaten.
The incident occurred a half entrance after Wendelstedt launched a call at the beginning that cost a race to the Mets.
