Joyciline Jepkosgei, of the world record, aims to create history in 2025 Trunsylvania 10k.

Joyciline Jepkosgei, who has broken world records on multiple distances in his career, is the leading attraction in a female field full of stars for the fifth edition of the Trunsylvania 10K on Sunday, October 5.

The 31 -year -old has had 10 km world records (29:43) and a half marathon (64:51 and 64:52) in her illustrious career and was the first female athlete in history to break the 30 -minute barrier for 10 km along the way.

Jepkosgei arrives in Brasov had an excellent 2025 campaign that includes reducing his best marathon to 64:13 earlier this year, in addition to finishing second in the 2025 London Marathon with 2:18:44. However, this will be its first output of more than 10 km in six years.

Medina Eisa (Paul Feary)

Despite its praise in the distance, it is only one of the three runners in an outstanding women field that has broken 30 minutes per 10 km in its races.

The fastest woman in the countryside is the 5000m world champion of 2022 and 2024 Medina Eisa, who runs this year’s world list with 29:25, once she recorded when she won in the Spanish city of Castellon in February.

The 20 -year -old Ethiopian is undefeated in its three racing outings in 2025 and has improved its best 3000m on the track at 8: 23.08. He also held the 13th place in the final of the last 5000m months in the World Athletics Championship, running 15: 07.47 in Tokyo.

Kate Axford (David Hewitsson)

Completing the trio of 10 km runners less than 30 minutes in Brazov, which will be Asahichew, which has made a series of better personal results this year, including 29:43 in Valencia 10 km in January.

The Triple European Track Yasemin CAN champion is a late entrance, which is the tenth in the list of all the European 100 m with a better of 30: 26.41.

The record of the Trunsylvania 10K Women’s Course is 30:07 established by Sheila Chepkirui in Kenya in 2022.

The British leader in the field is Kate Axford, who will make his debut in the 10 km. Brasov will be just the second Axford race of this season, outside his second place in the 5 km championships of the United Kingdom last month in Newcastle. The best best of the 26 years is about 5 km is 15:34.

Phil Sesemann (Anthrim Coast Half)

A Kenyanian myriad led the challenge in the male event in Brasov is Daniel Kosen, who is family with the course after finishing room at 27:19, when he debuted about the distance in 2022.

Kosen has the fastest time in the field with 27:01, set in Valencia two years ago, but be careful with the tastes of Vincent Kipkorir, Victor Kiprono and Amos Kipkemei in Brazov.

Kipkorir ran 27:08 in the German city of Herzogenaurach in April, which was only his second international career, while Kiprono recorded 27:10 in Castellon, Spain, in February in his first race outside Kenya. The latter follows that performance with 27:11 in Tokyo just under three months later.

Phil Sesemann is the British leader in the field and, with a better 10 km of 28:10, will trust only a quick course in Brazov. Only seven British run less than 28 minutes for 10 km on the roads, so Sesemann would join an illustrious list if he achieved that feat on Sunday.

The record of the Men Men de Trunsylvania Men’s course is 26:51 established by Nicolas Kipcorir Kimeli of Kenya in 2022.
