THE FACT THAT? BASF has announced price increases for a variety of amines in North America, effective April 6, 2026.

THE DETAILS The company will increase prices on multiple amine products, including alkylethanolamines, ethyleneamines and specialty amines, with increases ranging from $0.10 to $0.20 per pound, depending on the product. BASF amines are widely used in industries such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, coatings and plastics. Adjustments will be applied immediately or as existing contracts allow.

THE WHY? The price increases are due to rising logistics costs, rising raw material prices and current pressures in the global petrochemical market, exacerbated by instability related to the situation in the Middle East.
