THE FACT THAT? L’Oréal is investing €60 million to upgrade its Gauchy manufacturing plant, increasing production as the company prepares to add Gucci and Balenciaga fragrances to its portfolio.

THE DETAILS The investment will allow the facility in northern France to produce up to 200 million bottles of perfume per year, bolstering L’Oréal’s capacity as global demand for fragrances continues to rise. The Gauchy plant already manufactures key L’Oréal brands, including Lancôme, with lines producing products such as Idôle Nectar in multiple sizes.

THE WHY? Strengthening domestic production capacity positions L’Oréal to capture the continued growth of the fragrance market and meet growing global demand for its growing portfolio of luxury perfumes.
