SOSU Cosmetics Recalls Eyeshadow Palette Over Arsenic Contamination

The fact that? Irish brand Sosu Cosmetics recalled its Peach dreams Eye shadow palette after the EU authorities detected unsafe levels of arsenic in several tones.

The details The EU rapid alert lot system marked the number of lots 20210405, manufactured in China, citing excessive arsenic content in the ‘cream’, ‘sorbet’ and ‘peach’ shadows. It was discovered that the product infringes the regulation of EU cosmetic products due to their toxicological risk, which includes the left to cancer, fertility problems and organic damage. The distributor has removed the palette from the market.

Why? The withdrawal highlights the continuous regulatory scrutiny of imported cosmetics and reinforces the risks for the production of brand subcontracting, where breach can cause reputational and financial damage in the EU markets.
