The Minister of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman, will direct the Indian delegation of officials of the Department of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Finance, to attend the 58th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of Asian Development Bank (ADB), scheduled to take place in Milan, Italy, from May 4 to 7.
The official delegations of the Board of Governors of the BAD, members of BAD and international financial institutions will attend the meetings. The Minister of Finance will participate in the focal events of the annual meeting, such as the Business Session of the Governors and the Plenary Session of the Governor, and will serve as a panelist in the Seminar of the Governors of ADB on the “cross -border collaboration for future resilience.”
Apart from the 58th Annual Meeting of the ADB, the Minister of Finance, Sitharaman, will also hold bilateral meetings with the finance ministers of Italy, Japan and Bután, as well as meetings with the president of ADB, the president of the International Fund for Agricultural Development) and the Governor of Development of Lobernal) and the governor of Lobernal Development) (JBIC).
The Minister of Finance of the Union will also interact with the Indian diaspora in Milan, will meet with the global Thinks, business leaders and CEOs, and will participate in a plenary session of the next Milan forum at the University of Bocconi on “balance economic and climatic resilience.”
