A Federal Judge of the United States has emptied the key sentences of fraud and manipulation against Avraham Eisenberg, the merchant at the center of the case involving an exploit of $ 110 million of the decentralized exchange mango markets.

On Friday, the American district judge Arun Subramanian ruled that the evidence presented at the trial did not support the jury’s conclusion that Eisenberg made false representations materials to the mango markets.

The decision vaccine of Eisenberg’s convictions for fraud and market handling and absorbs it from a third position, significantly weaving the government’s case.

Eisenberg, a self -proclaimed “Theoretical of the applied game”, was sentenced in 2024 for artificial inflating the price of the Mango de Mango tab in more than 1,300% in a matter of minutes and using the resulting profits as collateral to withdraw. $ 110 million.

Side judge with Eisenberg

The Department of Justice argued that the smart loan system based on intelligent mango contracts, but Eisenberg’s defense maintained that the code designed and without permission without permits simply exploded by making any false representation.

Judge Subramanian agreed, writing that “mango markets were not permissions and automatic”, which means that the system could not be deceived in a legal sense. “There was no insufficient evidence of falsehood,” added the judge, next to Eisenberg’s interpretation of the Defi mechanics.

The judge also rejected the argument of prosecutors that the case should be heard in New York. Eisenberg was in Puerto Rico at the time of trades, and the court determined that there was no significant activity linked to the alleged crime in New York.

The Department of Justice had summoned a puffkeepsie -based mango user and a third party supplier in Manhattan, but the judge ruled that these were not enough to establish a clean place.

The United States government must now decide anyone who refiles vacinity charges, thought that the Trump administration has recently indicated a reduced approach to the application of cryptocurrencies. Eisenberg still faces civil costumes from the SEC and CFTC.

While this failure clears Eisenberg in the case of mango markets, remains behind bars.

A jury found Eisenberg guilty of electronic fraud, basic products fraud and manipulation of basic products in April 2024. The defense argued that exploit was not a cyber crime and represented a “successful and legal commercial strategy.”
