Water is life, and in the middle of a Texas summer, I feel that truth more deeply than ever. When heat hits with all its strength, I remember that hydration is not only about drinking water (thinking so, I am never far from my glass). It is about creating daily rituals that feel cooled, nutritious and radiant naturally from inside out.

From what as to how I worry about my skin and my hair, hydration touches every part of my routine thesis days. And thanks to my Target Weekly career (our partner in this publication), staying wet and renewed throughout the summer is something easy and affordable. Go ahead, I am sharing my hydration rituals and the basic products I trust for a bright and good season.

Hydrate from within: My summer water update

Or of course, drinking more water is not negotiable at this time of year, but it is not just about drinking more. Drink cunning It is the goal. While running water is always a victory, I love to keep an electrolyte packages on hand to help replace lost minerals through sweat and support my energy levels.

In addition, do not underestimate the OG practice of the infused spa water. It is much more fun to drink, and not mention beautiful. Some of my favorite matches:

  • Lemon + cucumber + mint: Lemon helps to download toxins, cucumber is ultra moisturizing and anti -inflammatory, and mint relieves stomach. This trio is ideal after a sweaty training or a long day in the sun.
  • Raspberry + mint: The raspberries are loaded with antioxidants that support healthy skin and fight against free radicals, while Mint Add adds a refreshing song and can help with digestion.
  • Orange + basil: Oranges add a dose of vitamin C and natural sweetness, while basil has anti -inflammatory properties and can help relieve stress. This feels a bit elegant and is perfect to serve in a pitcher in the Brunch.

I am abastar of all fresh berries, vegetables and herbs from Good & Gather in Target and let my mood guide my elixir every day.

Another smarter way of hydrating? Eat your water (yes, you listened to me). What I mean: many fruits and vegetables are naturally rich in water, so incorporating them into meals can be an easy way to increase hydration, since the weather is scorching and you are yearning for something.

One of my favorites for summer is this groove and avocado salad. It is the perfect mixture of juicy, creamy and crispy. The ingredients such as the grapefruit, the cucumber and the Roman are full of water and electrolytes, while the avocado adds healthy fats to help block the humidity inside. Add the golden-urm dressing, a pinch of squamous salt and a little chopped mint or basil, and it is basically a salad-shaped spa treatment, with the additional satisfaction of crispy chickpeas. Even better, everything you need for this recipe is easily notable by Good & Reation.

SKIN APACT: My 3 -step hydration routine

In the summer, everything is simplified, including my skin care. Between exposure to the sun, heat, sweat and extra time outdoors, my skin can feel more reactive and easily congested. That is why I change heavier creams for light and breathable layers that turn off my skin without obstructing the pores. Place from the lightest to the thickest so that each can absorb correctly and do their job, leaving my skin renewed, not too rejected.

Here is my infallible 3 steps routine:

  • Start with a moisturizer. I love spraying a pink or spring water fog directly from the fridge. Not only does he feel incredible, but he gives his skin a quick drink of hydration and prepares it to better absorb what comes.
  • Continue with a hyaluronic acid serum. This is the MVP of my summer skin care. Hyaluronic acid helps to join the water to the skin, the filling and to the softened without feeling sticky or heavy. I love this hyaluronic serum of the Korean skin care brand that visible fills the skin and keeps it nourished all day.
  • Apply a Gel or moisturizing moisturizer SPF. Finish with a light gel moisturizer to really block that hydration, along with a SPF to help the prevention of any additional UV damage. Look for formulas with aloe, escualano or ceramids for that flexible leather finish.
  • Bonus: Try your lips with greater moisture. Nothing feels as pampering as a lip mask, and I am obsessed with this recently. It is butian but not sticky, and alumn before bedtime and wake up with soft babies for babies.

Hair recovery after pool days

As much as I like a pool day, my hair or needs some TLC later. Approximately time, chlorine can strip its humidity and natural oils, leaving my dry, brittle and more prone strands to break. Just as being diligent with my water intake and my skin care, I have also built a simple hair recovery routine that returns my summer strands to life, keeping them soft, bright and fuli or rebounds.

My post-wim ritual includes:

  • Clarifier shampoo: I start with a soft clarifying washing to eliminate chlorine, sun protection waste and accumulation of products without overload. This restores the scalp and leaves everything feeling super clean.
  • Moisturizing mask: Next, I apply a rich mask for moisturizing hair, usually with ingredients such as coconut oil, karité or aloe butter, to restore moisture and frizz of sum. I will leave it for 5–10 minutes while finishing my shower.
  • Wide tooth comb: I use a wide teeth comb in the shower to stop gently (starting from the ends). This maintains the minimum breakage and helps distribute the mask evenly.

I also love to sleep with a silk and satin pillow cover. These reduce friction, help retain moisture and prevent those dreaded tangles during the night.
