When I started bringing plants to my house, I have everything in the aesthetics, which was a rookie mistake. Once I was driving a Trader Joe’s plant without having an idea where I was going to say it or what kind of care I needed. Spoiler alert: My poor plant did not last long. Before starting looking for living room plants, here are some things to consider before bringing a house.

Those big leaves need dust, and I keep mine in a strict irrigation schedule. I think that the figs of the violin leaf are additional attention: mine have brought me so much joy!
ZZ plant
If you are looking for a low -maintenance living room plant, start with a ZZ plant. They are abundant and work well in spaces with little light (they don’t really like direct sun!), So they are perfect for a relaxed planted father. You only need to water it every 2-3 weeks and these look beautiful on a shelf or coffee table.
Rubber tree
The large dark leaves of a rubber tree are definitely an environment. Another friendly plant for beginners, a rubber tree needs indirect sunlight, and can water every 1-2 weeks. It is good to watch, give it a drink when the ground is three out.
Horn
A Pothos plant is one of the easy to take care of plants and is super friendly for beginners. They are a great option to advance your living room! Pothhos grows rapidly and are excellent hanging plants: I have one in a disco ball pot and the waterfall vines to the floor. I swear, these plants have nine lives as cats: it is easy to see when they are thirsty because they have their leaves, but they give them a drink and benefit.
Snake plant
I love a snake plant! I have some in my own home, including one in my living room, and they are the perfect low maintenance plant that each home needs, they also help purify the air. Ideal for the corners of the living room: plants can arrive a week with water, do not require a ton of sunlight and are almost impossible to kill. I only know attentive or excessively; I learned that in the difficult way.
Bird of paradise
If you want a touch of the tropics in your living room, a bird of paradise is the ticket. This room plant has large green leaves and certainly makes a statement. The Paradise bird is named after its flowers as birds, but it is rare that this plant flourish inside. As it is a tropical plant, it loves the sun and works well in high humidity. Place your palm in indirect light and allow the ground to dry between irrigation. Just although the palm is a tropical plant, it does not work well in the direct and bright sun, so be sure to keep it in the shade.

Exuberant and dramatic, this room plant has also been called the “Swiss cheese plant.” Its leaves are divided and contain holes, a lovely feature that many plants enthusiasts love. This is another plant that is quite popular and with a good reason. They can grow a lot and are easily easy. You can put it outside for summer if you want!
Pilea Peperomia
If you are looking for a friendly plant for beginners that is small enough to fit on a shelf, Pilea’s pepperomy is for you. This living room plant has round leaves that look like coins, winning its commonly known name, the Chinese money plant. Through indirect light and request a minimum irrigation, a victory! It is really an adorable plant, and I am currently convincing myself that I need one for my coffee table.
