Hey also worked on visual effects on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and the Battlestar Galactica Restart, as well as science fiction TV pilots and neighbors. His most recent television credit was with Natgeo’s documentary about Tom Wolfe’s iconic book The right things.

Responsible for the editorial vision of Space.com, Tariq Malik has been the chief editor of Space.com since 2019 and has covered space news and science for 18 years. He joined the Space.com team in 2001, first as an intern and shortly after a full -time space flight reporter who covers the human space flight, exploration, astronomy and night sky. It became the Manager of Space.com in 2009. As the talent in the air has presented spatial stories in CNN, Fox News, NPR and others.

Tariq is an Eagle Scout (yes, he obtained the spatial exploration merit), a veteran of the space camp (4 times when he was a child, once as an adult), and has tasks of the last trip of “vomiting vomiting” while informing about zero gravity fires. Before joining Space.com, he served as personnel reporter for the Los Angeles Times that cover the rhythms of the city and education. It has journalism titles from the University of Southern California and the University of New York.
