After months of speculation, the incoming team of Cadillac Formula 1 confirmed its line of drivers for the 2026 season.
In an announcement on social networks, the team confirmed the recent rumors that pilot veterans Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas would be the first two pilots of the team. Both Pérez and Bottas had duration of the 2024 campaign network, Pérez with Red Bull and Bottas with Sauber, but were replaced before the 2025 season.
While Bottas is currently a reserve driver with Mercedes, Pérez has spent a year out of the network.
The match gives the new F1 team two incredible experienced pilots, each with a pedigree of the championship. Bottas were part of a Mercedes team that five builders championships lasted his time in Brackley, while Pérez helped Red Bull win a couple of builders championships lasting their time along Max Verstappen.
While Cadillac seeks to bring his own online power unit program, having a couple of experienced drivers who give their comments will certainly give an impulse to that movement.
