Lexi Rodriguez talked about her difficult journey from a small town to becoming one of the best volleyball players in a recent interview. It is currently preparing for the upcoming 2026 season.
Rodríguez opened his season competing in his first professional season. After concluding this event in April, she went on to compete in the Volleyball Nations League and the FIVB Women’s World Championship for the United States national team. Currently, he is enjoying his time off the court.
In the midst of his offseason, he chatted with Hail Varsity, where he was asked about his grueling journey. Speaking of her own sacrifices, she said she was willing to do anything to achieve her goals. Mentioning his struggles and goals, he said:
“I forgot to mention my own sacrifice. There’s a lot of that, but I think from a young age I had really high goals. I wanted to play in the best conference and win a National Championship and go to the Olympics one day when I was 10 or 12, so I think that made it a little easier,” Lexi Rodriguez said.
She added:
“I was so determined to get to the next level, obviously you want to be where your friends are and go to all the sporting events and just do all those things, but I knew what my end goal was and so I was willing to do whatever it took.”

Lexi Rodríguez recently spoke with Huurdat Sports, where she discussed her journey with mental health. She revealed that he kept his mental health concerns a secret for a long time, which also affected his confidence. Stating that she fought like everyone else, she said:
“With this app, I feel like for me personally I can finally talk about things that maybe I’ve tried to keep to myself for so long, like mental health and confidence and all that. I think that’s something that not a lot of people knew about me, is that I struggle as much as everyone else, so being able to share that and relate to these younger girls I think was really important to me,” Lexi Rodriguez said.
She further spoke about how she managed to endure the trip and revealed that she is still figuring it out.
