#4. Fan mocks Britt Baker with disrespectful comment; Baker responds with class
Britt Baker has been away from AEW programming for almost a year. However, he remains one of the most talked about figures in the promotion. Dr. DMD last competed on the November 14, 2024 episode of Dynamite, where she faced Penelope Ford in a singles competition. Since then, he has been on a hiatus with reports indicating that his contract is not about to expire.
During her hiatus, the former AEW Women’s World Champion remained active on social media through brand partnerships and promotional appearances. Most recently, he appeared in a short online video promoting an Internet lottery while traveling home. However, the publication attracted a explicit and disrespectful comment from a fan, who seemed to mock her.
“Stephen A Smith is the highest paid person on ESPN and has an AI-powered solo ad floating around, but fuck certified dentist and former AEW Champion Britt Baker for making a couple bucks on the way home lmao,” the fan said.
Baker responded with a humorous response about X and many fans praised his response.

#3. NWA’s Bryan Idol accuses Tony Khan after he throws the AEW National Title
Tony Khan faced criticism this week following the announcement of the AEW National Championship. The new title was officially introduced on Dynamite, where it was described as a secondary singles championship, similar in prestige to the TNT and Unified championship. However, the measure has sparked a backlash from National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) officialsnotably Bryan Idol, who accused Khan of throwing the belt as a form of “retaliation.”
““This is retaliation because AEW is already losing a lawsuit against NWA over the use of intellectual property, so now they are trying to stir the pot by having Tony Khan’s Richie Rich announce this tonight,” he said. [H/T – Ringside News]
Meanwhile, the Jacksonville-based promotion confirmed that the inaugural AEW National Champion will be crowned at Full Gear 2025 in a Casino Gauntlet Match. The match will reportedly feature 12 competitors from All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor.
#2. Toni Storm calls Mina Shirakawa her wife
This week on Dynamite, Toni Storm made an unexpected revelation about her personal life. While providing guest commentary during Mina Shirakawa’s match against “Timeless” star Megan Bayne declared that Shirakawa is his wife.
“I am here for only one thing, and that is the love I have for my beautiful wife, Mina Shirakawa,” Storm declared.
The announcement was met with audible shock from both the commentary team and the live audience. Tony Schiavone congratulated Storm on the statement, only for her to interrupt him and ask him to shut up.
#1. Tony Khan announces Queen Aminata’s injury
A few hours away from this week’s AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan announced a significant change to blood and guts Advantage Battle Lineup due to an unexpected injury. The match was scheduled to determine which teams, men’s and women’s, would get the early entry advantage in the upcoming Blood and Guts matches. However, Khan confirmed that queen aminata she had been ruled out after medical staff deemed her unfit to compete.
Aminata was initially scheduled to face Megan Bayne in the first women’s qualifying bout. According to Khan’s statement, medical examinations carried out before the incident revealed that Aminata was not acquitted.
“Queen Aminata had said that she was going to be good at competing. She wants to fight. She wants to compete. But today here in the arena, in the pre-match exams, the doctors have ruled out Queen Aminata. They don’t want her to participate,” Khan said.
The president of All Elite Wrestling also confirmed that Mina Shirakawa would replace Aminata in the match, which she ultimately lost.
