Shaking American flags and asking for the end of “fascism”, the herds of protesters throughout the bay area recovered against the administration of President Donald Trump on Saturday afternoon.

The proclaimed protests of “No Reyes” attracted thousands of followers, who extended throughout the country in cities from California to Washington DC and New York. The organizers say they protest what they see as civil rights and constitutional violations of Trump, including efforts to deport dozens of immigrants, reduce the benefits of social security and climb the federal government by Housescissen.

The protests come alone Two weeks after similar anti-trump manifestations they also attracted thousands.

Approximately 2,000 people in downtown San José aligned the St. James Park block, singing “this is how democracy looks”, and holding colorful signs that said “eliminating the dictator” and “delivery of our democracy.”

Saturday’s protest also coincided with the 250th anniversary of the revolutionary war, a gesture that many protesters, such as the Sunnyvale resident, Karen Hurst, found symbolic.

Hurst toured the park with a yellow craft crown on the head with the word “king” written in him, but left.

“Two hundred and fifty years ago, we decided that we are going to have kings in this country,” said the 58 -year -old man, referring to the revolutionary war “seems correct that we go wrong.” “

Hurst, who is a teacher at San José City College, said she is protesting to support her students. Many are immigrants or international students, said Hurst, who are afraid to come to class.

“It angry, I want to defend them,” he said.

At a couple of meters away, the resident of Santa Clara, Tom Thomas, wore a purple flag that said “do not give up the ship”, a reference to the famous battle cry of the United States. Uu. During the war of 1812. Thomas, the phrase is destined to encourage people not to give up democracy.

“This (dictatorship) has happened to another country, and think that this cannot happen in the United States is simply ridiculous,” said the 53 -year -old man. “We have to do things like this, we have to do more than this.”

In Santa Cruz, several hundred people gathered in the corner of Oceanic and Water streets in a busy intersection near the County Government Center to protest Trump and their policies.

The protesters, many of whom were seniors, the signs of heroes said “hands of Social Security and Medicare”, “resist” and “No one chose Elon Musk.” Several people took the American flags backwards, to point out their anguish while motorists passed, horn in support.

Around San Francisco, about 1,000 people gathered in Civic Center Plaza, many waving homemade signs that also criticized the current administration.

With a great American flag, Andrew Hudlow, a resident of San Francisco, said the Anti-Trump movement is for “all Americans.”

“I am here because I am worried about democracy,” said the newly minimized lawyer. “I know history, I know what happens in other countries. I know how the beginning of authoritarianism looks, and that is what we are seeing right now. If nobody supports the courts, then it is so to live.” “

Also among the crowds was Hal Christiansen, 72, slowly walking with a cane in one hand and a sign that said “delivery of my social security” in another. The San Francisco resident depends on Social Security for its income. Despite his health problems, Christiansen said he wanted to leave and support the cause.

“My country really doesn’t care,” he said. “My third great Gather fought in the revolutionary war, and I will leave my life to fight a dictator. I am here to show my strong feelings. I have had several blows, so I do not accompany me that I produce the lava lave croyopaty here to support my people.”

Similar feelings were found in Berkeley. A few hundred people gathered in the North Berkeley Bart, maintaining signs and encouraging passers -by to horn and support.

The Darlene Wang resident appeared to the protest with a disguise of the era of the revolutionary war and carried a signal that said “time for the revolution.”

“I think what is happening to the nation is deplorable,” said Wang. “So it’s time to appear, be loud, publicize your voices and give your body sea, and to put a scandal. This is not normal and not correct.”
