A crew of hot head teenagers attacked a retired Lieutenant Nytrado who faced topics for harassing a taxi driver at the Upper East Side this week, police and sources said.
The 65 -year -old retiree saw the group of at least five young people grouping the taxi driver just after 8 pm on Tuesday in Park Avenue and East 84th Street and intervened to stop, according to sources of the law.
But as soon as the former policeman intervened, the Baby face ruffians hit him again with a backpack and hitting him in the face, which made him fall to the ground, authorities and sources said.
“They were looking for problems to harass everyone who saw,” said the victim, who didn’t want to be identified. “When the taxi driver began to crowd, they will attend me and hit them to leave him alone. It was then that a coward hit me from behind with a backpack.”
The beating left it with slight wounds on the face and knee, and rejected medical attention on the scene, police said.
