Humanoid robots run a Chinese half-marathon alongside flesh-and-blood competitors – The Mercury News

Beijing (AP) -in a small step for their robots, thousands of them, really humanoid robots ran alongside real humans in a half marathon in the Chinese capital on Saturday.

Bípedo robots of several brands and sizes navigated the 21.1 kilometers (13.1 miles) backed by browsers, operators and human engineers, in which the organizers of the event say that the event organizers were the first time. As a precaution, a divisor separated the parallel courses used by robots and people.

While the flesh and bone participants followed the conventional rules, the 20 teams leaked machines in the half -human robot marathon competed under the personalized guidelines, which included stops in battery exchange boxes.

The Sky Ultra Robot project, also known as Ten Kung Ultra, of the Ten Kung team, demanded the victory among non -humans, crossing the finish line in 2 hours, 40 minutes and 42 seconds.

The awards were also awarded to the best resistance, the best march design and the most innovative way.
