Islanders’ AHL affiliate’s brutal season raises eyebrows

Among the many things that the islanders need to take a look at this low season, here is one that has flown a little under the radar: the state of their AHL team.

Bridport islanders have not yet finished their seasonal trade, but two games, they entered Friday with an abysmal record 15-48-4-3, not only in the last place in the Atlantic division, but at 30 points.

It is the second consecutive season in which Bridport has finished the last one in the AHL and the third consecutive season in which Ahl’s playoffs has been lost, despite the fact that six out of eight teams made him the Atlantic division.

His record of 4-28-1-3 at home also marked the least number of victories at home in the history of AHL, with an amazing differential of goals less 70 on homemade ice, according to Patrick Wiliams of AHL.

Winning is not always a priority in AHL, but the islanders have not developed many perspectives in recent years.

Kyle Maclean and Marc Gatcomb stayed in the fourth line after being called, but otherwise, the perspectives have stagnated largely in the ahl.

He also raised his eyebrows that Bridgeport has made young players healthy healthy, playing veterans who have few possibilities of making the NHL.

The general manager of Isles Lou Lamoriello said in February that the AHL team record did not worry him.

“We ask the coach to put the players in situations that can come and play here,” Lamoriello said. “To be fair, Objecttening has played a great concern in Bridport … the only thing you worry about is that you want people in a winning attitude, environment, but understand what is happening and how it is.

“I think that when you see that entering a Gatcomb, you understand what are the roles of those people and what you do is that some people put in situations that are not accustomed to seeing people that people who are positive can be in a way.”

The AHL reduced striker Bridport Adam Beckman’s suspension From 10 games to eight. Beckman was suspended by physical abuse of an official.
