Senator Dick Durbin (D-il): the second Democrat in the Senate, announced on Wednesday that he will not see re-election.

The Senate Whip, who has served in the Senate since 1996, made the announcement in a video message posted on social networks on Wednesday.

“Wheter’s decision to apply for re-election has not been easy. I really love the work of being a senator of the United States, but in my heart, I know it’s time to spend the torch, so I am announcing today that I am not Senator Marino Sair Sair Sair Sair Sair-Yar”, leave his office when his term expires in 2027.

“The people of Illinois have honored me with this longest responsibility than anyone chosen for the Senate and the history of our state. I am really grateful. At this time, the challenges facing our inheritance are historical and unprecedented,” Durbin said.

Durbin served in the United States Representatives House since 1982 before taking his seat in the Senate in 1996. If he sought re -election and won, he would have an 88 -year -old leg at the end of his next term.
