Jayden Stroman is a success in Long Island.
The younger brother of the Yankees law, Marcus Stroman, is following the family business as a pitcher with Patchogue-Media lights, where he is hitting a great .500 while preparing to play for the University of Duke next year.
But you would not know that Straw Man is the royalty of baseball simply looking at him, and that is exactly how grade 12 wants.
“We are the raiders baseball, not the Jayden Stroman baseball,” he told the duration after Wednesday.
“Everything is a team. I feel that there is no kind that is above another, including myself.”
Stroman enrolled in Suffolk County Public School after transferring the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where he spent 11th grade, after two years at Stony Brook Prep Boarding School in North Shore.
The choice to return home was simple. I wanted to “return to my own people”, as friends and coaches, in addition to “Mom Cooking” at home around the corner of the school was an additional incentive, Strawan said about his mother, Michaela.
“It was the best movement for my development,” added the 17 -year -old, who sees several professional explorers see their games.
“I think this is the best place, as for the body, that I have the leg anywhere so far.”
And the Ball Club, which was 7-2 Enter on Thursday, is fueled to have it.
A jewel in the diamond
“It’s like a coach in the field with the boys,” said Manager Anthony Fastecogna. “He brings much more than just his talent.”
About winter, Strawan touched on himself to work with his receiver, Brayden Davis, to acclimatize the rapid junior level to MLB speeds.
“The first time I caught 97 from him, he got a little,” Davis joked. “Now I am quite comfortable and it is fun to work with him … it is a great learning of him.”
The launch partner James Minutillo, a straw friend of the high school, is also grateful for the launch council that he is Gothic of the star athlete since Fall Ball joined in 2024.
“It doesn’t drop you on yourself. It’s always being positive,” said Minutillo. “It was as if he never left. It’s great to be with him again.”
Beyond dominating in the field, Saturday’s victory 7-1 over William Floyd-he has goals beyond baseball to complete in June.
“I am trying to keep all the A for sure,” said Stroman, who is loaded with advanced placement classes. “Have mom and dad feel proud when the stage goes in graduation … you can always have a plan B.”
Excavated love
Spending time with her mother and dad, Earl Stroman, before university is a massive priority for not. 11.
“I can exercise with him every day, which is always great because it is my last year capable of doing it,” Stroman said.
“And be able to see mom and give a hug to mom every day after I also return home, it’s also really great.”
Marcus also keeps up to date with the mandate of his little brother’s university team when Jayden sends the Yankees launches many videos of his games.
“He let me know what he thinks, he always tells me to keep my arm care aware of the arm,” Jayden said.
“But I try to keep him brother as a brother because baseball takes a long time. So it is very limited when you get that true family interaction.”
Leaving aside the family’s legacy, Straw Man is successful by making a name for himself in his new school, where, during the winter, he established the 55-meter Patchogue-Medford board as a track sprinter in Los Offseas to remain in first level conditions.
“Everyone moves to get to the big leagues, so you must work to get there,” he said. “Livestock, not Givven, as cliché as it sounds. So you must be there to do what you have to do in terms of details every day to be the best of the best.”
