It is not supposed to be the jury that is blocked!
Brooklyn court officials forgot two alternative jurors and left them sitting alone in a room for almost 12 hours, long after everyone else has gone home, the sources said.
The substitutes were waiting in the Brooklyn Supreme Court until 10 pm, they even thought that the other six jurors had been fired at 4:30 pm, a source from the court told The Post.
“The UCS is aware of this unfortunate incident and is investigating it,” said a court spokesman without offering any detail about how the Goof developed.

The two alternative jurors still returned to finish their work the next day as the deliberations on the two -week civil trial continued, according to the source.
“They were there. They were with a stone face. They participated,” the source told the post.

The two alternative jurors had begun their jury marathon day on April 10, seeing the end of the trial.
The jury members then play a lunch break, which ended around 2 pm
At 3 pm, the two alternative jurors were placed in a room separated from the six main jurors for deliberations, according to the source.
Alternative jurors do not deliberate with the regular jury because only alternative jurors are only there to complete whether one of the regular jurors cannot end their duty due to an illusion or other circumstances.
The other six jurors sent a note when judging Inga O’Neale around 4:30 pm with a question. At that time, O’Neale dismissed all the jury members and said that the Woldervene court the next day to continue the deliberations of the jury, according to a source.
But court officials apparently forgot the two alternative jurors sitting in a different room. In general, a court officer or an employee will tell the alternative jurors that are dismissed, according to several people familiar with the Courthhouse processes.
It is not clear if the two alternative jurors finally had enough and alerted some about their presence or if they were discovered by another court worker.
If the extended time suction did not make two very angry men to the forgotten pair, they are likely to pay them the same amount as the other six jurors that left at 4:30 pm
The jury’s duty generally obtains a fixed rate of $ 40 per day for alternative and regular jurors, regardless of the number of hours of that day, a jury attended, christening to the website of the unified court of the state of New York.
