Mat Barzal, Semyon Varlamov expect to be ready for Islanders training camp

As for Barzal, if the islanders had Gothic in the playoffs, there is at least one possibility that he is on the ice for game 1.

“Really wanting to persevere through this,” said Barzal. “I love the game, I love being close to my teammates. This is all for me.
