Phil Jackson criticizes NBA for Easter Sunday scheduling decision in rare post

The legendary NBA coach, Phil Jackson, does not seem to be a fan of the games played in Easter.

Jackson published in his account X for the second time since 2018 apparently to criticize the league’s decision to hold games on Easter Sunday, as well as his decision to organize games on Christmas day, which has been a day of marquee for sport.

“Once again, the NBA proves faith playing multiple games at Christmas and Easter … sacred days”, ” Jackson wrote.

It is not the first time that Jackson criticized the NBA, although he does indicate that he is still watching the league despite claiming in 2023 that he no longer observed becoming too “political.”

Duration an appearance of 2023 In the podcast “Tetragrammaton With Rick Rubin”, Jackson criticized the NBA’s decision to adopt the social justice messaging during the 2020 season in the bubble, calling the decision to allow players to use messages of support. ”

“They briefly had slogans on the floor and baseline,” he said, while explaining why the NBA already observed. “I was trying to attend to an audience or try to take a certain audience to the game, and they didn’t know that I was turning off other people. People want to see sports as non -politicians.

“Politics remains out of the game; it is not necessary to be there.”

As for their complaints about the NBA that they play on sacred vacations such as Christmas and Easter, it is unlikely that its publication will do a lot to change the position of the league or its fans, which continuously to see in the duration of the holidays.

Also on Sunday, Major League Baseball played a complete list of games and the NHL held three playoff games.

Christmas day has become a battle for eyeballs between the NBA and the NFL, which has begun to muscular in what has a long leg for basketball.
