Hallmark is taking the spectators to a pilgrimage of house amenities this month with their new romance, Journey to you. The movie is stars in Cahill As a work addict called Mónica, who reluctantly embarks on a trip to walk on the Camino de Santiago In Spain after a little convincing of his mother. But along the way, Monica learns new lessons about life, faith and love with the help of the handsome single father Luis (Erik Valdez). Is it worth investing your story in your time, or should you tell this title to make a walk? Keep reading to find out!

The yeast: Monica Miller (Erin Cahill) is seriously dedicated to her work as a practicing nurse at Boston Bay hospital. The closely injured work addict has not taken vacations in four years, and has not been involved in a longer time. But after losing a promotion at work, Monica suddenly feels lost as she wonders for what all that devotion was if she “did it” as always aspired.

After sharing the unfortunate news with his mother, Olivia (Yvette Filanc), the older woman shows her support and encouraging her daughter to take a vacation to walk on the Camino de Santiago. Olivia reminds Monica who was in this pilgrimage she with the dear deceased father of Monica, and this could be an opportunity for Monica to also know the man of dreams, or at least, to obtain a new perspective of life. After a little reflection and prayer, Monica agrees to carry lunch and goes to Spain to begin the trip, accompanied by an extremely heavy backpack and a devotional that her father has left.

Althehings reaches a little start of potholes tries that Axica and the path does not start on her own while she hopes her tourism group arrives, she may meet the group led by the Sassy and Affable Guido, Consuelo). She has been the main divorced psychologist Luis (Erik Valdez), the slightly abrupt father of Luis Ernesto (Pep Tosar) and the selfless adolescent son of Luis, Mateo (Bellaiche Solal).

Monica has always liked to do things on her own and she feels ashamed to ask others for help, but she gets to discover that the unpredictable and winding path of life could be easier to handle and more pleasant and stos. In turn, Luis begins to see that he does not need to stretch himself trying to be everything he thinks that people around him want it to be, and that instead, he only needs to appreciate the small moments they matter with. While Monica and Luis embark on this trip to meet, there is also space to dig up true love?

Journey to you

What movies will you remember you?: Journey to you You can remind some viewers a bit of the film led by Martin Sheen 2010 The waywhich also presents some moments of link and sincere while walking along the Camino de Santiago. The film also reminds other Hallmark titles as Happy Friday and Direct Vacation LineSince the first has an additional protagonist, and the second has a single male protagonist father.

It is worth seeing the performance: Isabelle Bres and Pep Tosar stand out as Consuelo and Ernesto thanks to their easy taste and charm. Special for a Hallmark movie, I thought both delivered quite natural performances, and especially enjoyed chemistry among them that was quite evident from the beginning.

Memorable dialogue: The next exchange between Monica and Luis is definitely more than a cumbersome backpack (could it be … the main message of the film?):

“No, I like a challenge.”

“Challenge yourself to accept a little help, huh? You don’t always have to wear everything on your own.”

Sex and skin: None at all.

OUR TOMA: I think the highlight of this movie was undoubtedly the beautiful scenario. While Journey to you It may not have been filmed on the Camino de Santiago Real, the locations that filmed in Spain provided some of the most vibrant and impressive images that I have seen in any Hallark movie so far.

Beyond that, he thought, there is not much more than establish Journey to you In addition to other titles of Hallmark, it exposes the slightly excessive mentions of God and prayer, why I have seen in most Hallark’s Christmas movies (and this is not a Easter film). I guess I should have waited some religious allusions in a film where the main location translates into the path of St. James in English and leads to a literal cathedral, but even so, it was more than I expected. So, if you like a secular romance, this is definitely not all.

Speaking of romance, he almost felt unnecessary, since the film would probably have a more powerful and fascinating leg if it were Monica finding Herfel and a greater connection with her roots walking in the steps of her late father in the pilgrimage. Of course, there were some sweet moments of connection between Monica and Luis, but they were eclipsed or ate at least heavy, for heavy and open dialogues.

At a certain point, the conversations began to feel too much in the nose and, as if they were simple instruments to inject spirituality and life lessons. In any case, the best and most natural romance was between Consur and Ernesto, now that was a chemistry that could feel from the beginning! But unfortunately, only that couple could not escape this movie, and the last destination of the bee of the characters too cheesy to be a success.

Our call: Journey to you It could be too lacking nuances and a little too much sacred to make this a trip in its time. It is not terrible, but it is certainly not walking to remember. Omit it.
