The Department of Defense (DOD) recently updated His orientation about the process to restore the members of the service that left the military due to the mandate of the COVID-19 vaccine. The members of the separate service involuntarily only receive the payment and the time accredited at their service if they agree four years of additional service, or two for those who were eligible for retirement within the two years of the separation. Therefore, unlike transgender sailors who will receive two years of separation, pay for voluntary separation, those separated for the vaccine mandate that do not choose to return to the service will receive nothing.
