Trump Treasury Sanctions Iranian Petroleum Magnate

The secretary of the Treasury, Scott Besent, announced on Tuesday that the department sanctioned Asadoollah Emamjomeh and his corporate network, stating that and his network sought to evade US sanctions.

“Emamjomeh and his network sought to export thousands of LPG shipments, even from the United States, to evade the sanctions of the United States and generate income for Iran,” Bessenent saying In a written statement. “The United States is still committed to responsible for those who seek to provide the Iranian regime with the funds they need to promote its destabilizing activities in the region and worldwide.”

The Treasury Department explained in a press release:

Emamjomeh’s expansive network includes a vessel, the Tinos I, which sought but could not carry a load in 2024 off the coast of Houston, Texas. In addition to crude oil, the LPG continues to be an important source of income for the Iranian regime, whose finals finance the nuclear and advanced conventional weapons programs of Iran, as well as regional proxy groups and Hamas.

“This action is in the implementation of the Treasury of National Security Presidential Memorando 2 (NSPM-2), instituting a maximum campaign or economic pressure on Iran, “the press release continued.

The Treasury Department exploded more about the Iranian Liquefied Petroleum Gas Network

For more than a decade, based in Iran Seyed Asadoollah Emamjomeh (Emamjomeh) and his son, the United Arab Emirates (EAU), national British and Iranians Meisam Emamjomeh (MEISAM), has had and operated a sales, transport and delivery network of LPG using multiple companies based in Iran and EAU. Emamjomeh and his company based in the EAU, Petrochemical Caspian Fze (Caspian Petrachemical) are part of a network that has exported thousands of LPG shipments from Iran to Pakistan and has carried out dozens of millions of dollars in business on behalf of or the Petrachmical Gulf Co. (PGPICC).

Ofac designated the petrochemical industry of the Persian Gulf Commercial Co. (PGPICC) in accordance with EO 13382, a counter -proliferation authority, on July 7, 2019, for being owned or controlled by the Petrochemical Industries Company of the Persian Gulf (PGPIC). PGPIC was appointed in accordance with EO 13382 that same day for having a financial support proportional to Khatam al-Anbiya, the engineering conglomerate of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran (IRGC).

These sanctions follow the Trump administration placement Sanctions to four people linked to the family of the new Michoacan (LNFM), a Mexican poster linked to fentanil and human trafficking.
