Port Ángeles, washing. -The father of a 4 -year retention is acclaimed as a hero later, park officials say, the child was bitten by a mountain lion while walking with his family during the weekend on a popular path in the Olympic National Park in the state of Washington.

The child was transferred to a trauma center in Seattle to receive treatment after Sunday attack, according to a Declaration of the National Parks Service. CBS Seattle Affiliate Kiro-TV reports that Harborview Medical Center said the child was released in satisfaction and since then.

The attack of a mountain lion equipped with a tracking necklace was close to Hurricane Ridge, a popular mountain area with expansive views.

The attack was reported to the rangers around 3:15 pm on Sunday and the paramedics and park staff were traveling to the injured child, according to the parks service.

The Rangers immediately began looking for clothing and joining a canine team at 5 pm, according to the statement, adding that the Rangers found the Cougar shortly after the canine team joined the effort.

For Monday, the park staff had “sent to the animal,” said the statement, using a term that generally refers to killing an animal.

“There are no current threats to the public,” said the statement.

The authorities said they would not release any identification information about the child to protect their identity.

Kiro says that Steve Murrow told the station that he was walking for Hurricane Trail with his family the same day the attack occurred. They say they did not see the attack, but they heard screams when they approached the area.

“We listen to how to shout at a little boy,” Murrow said.

Murrow and his father -in -law, Mike Flenniken, told Kiro that they approached and saw the mother holding the child and a group of people comforting the family.

Murrow and Flenniken say that the witnesses told them that the father could move his son of the Puma away. Both believe that their actions saved the child’s life.

“I don’t think the child survived if it were for his father jumping,” Murrow said. “I mean, it’s a hero. You know, it is only reduced to a safe place in numbers and it is strange that something like this happens.”
