In the email, Jeffries indicated that his party will not budge on its demands before reopening the government, saying, “Democrats will continue to fight to address the Republican health crisis, and we will NOT back down until it is fixed. America deserves better.”
In the Senate, talks have continued in the background behind closed doors, but nothing has yet materialized into full negotiations on the expiration of Obamacare tax credits to find a way out to end the shutdown.

If Jeffries’ rhetoric is any indication, Democrats are nowhere near making a budget.
“Republicans thought we would back down because of their fake videos, threats and lies,” he wrote. “No chance. Cancel the cuts. Reduce the cost. Save health care. Keep the faith.”
Other House Democrats have also been actively fundraising in the wake of the shutdown.
Rep. Janelle Bynum, D-Ore., has been particularly active, sending out several fundraising emails, including one in which her team told supporters, “The stakes couldn’t be higher.”
“That’s why Janelle won’t back down from her fight to put Oregonians first and ensure our government works for the people,” Bynum’s team wrote. “If you’re with her, please do your part today to help her sustain this critical fight for hard-working Americans. the house“.
In another email to his supporters, Bynum complained that “Republicans just released an attack ad blaming me for the government shutdown.”

“They are targeting me for their failed leadership and the chaos they have created in Washington. We cannot allow their disgraceful attacks to go unanswered,” he wrote, adding, “Will you rush a donation now to help our team stand up to national Republicans and defend Oregonians?”
Rep. Dave Min, D-Calif., wrote in another fundraising email that “if we want to prevent these shutdowns from happening in the future, we need to take back control of Congress next year.”
“That’s why I’m turning to you: If you’re in a position to give, will you contribute whatever you can to help me defend this very unstable district next year?” he implored.
“The Democrats’ demands are simple,” he wrote in another email.
“Reversing Republican cuts to Medicaid and extending Obamacare tax credits to make health insurance more affordable. None of these things should be controversial!” he wrote, providing a link to donate.

Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio, got right to the point, asking her supporters in an email to “contribute $10, $25 or whatever makes sense to you to support me against this reckless shutdown and help us take back the House next fall.”

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Jeffries tripled down on his rejection of the GOP’s continuing resolution spending bill that would reopen the government, calling it a “partisan spending bill that continues to destroy the American people’s health care and threatens to raise the costs of living for tens of millions of people.”
Fox News Digital reached out to the offices of Jeffries, Bynum, Min and Kaptur for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
