Scientists spot live colossal squid for the first time in South Sandwich Islands (Video)

For the first time, scientists have captured images of a living colossal squid (Mesonyteuthis Hamiltoni) in their natural habitat of deep water near the South Sandwich Islands. Filmed at a depth of 600 meters by the duration of the auction rov auction of the Schmidt Institute, an immersion with the ocean census, this historical moment marks an advance in marine biology. The colossal squid, which is said to grow up to 7 meters long and weighs more than 1102.31 pounds. You never look alive so far.
