A high school student in Towson, Maryland, who has enlisted with the Marines body of the United States, was allegedly suspended until April 8 on a subject about US flags in his school.

Parker Jensen, eighteen, noticed that the flags were absent from two or their classrooms, despite a state law that dictates that they must be exhibited there, Fox News reported Thursday.

Now, Jensen has taken legal actions and is demanding the school district about what he says it was an unfair suspension of Townson High School.

In February, the young man intensified the matter to school leadership. When nothing was done, he kept trying and Anyge went to the Baltimore Education Board to obtain some answers.

According to the lawsuit, he went to the Board’s office to file a formal complaint, signed as a visitor and registered what happened. However, a supervisor told him to stop recording and leaving the building even thought that the young man was not being harmful. He refused to leave the building and several officers were called to the scene, said the lawsuit, adding that the officers said Jense needed to be an accredited journalist to film in that place.

According to local 12, School Security Emergency Manager Richard Muth said Jensen was so suspended from his school while he was on the scene.

Other instances that involve US students and flags throughout the country have happened in recent years. In 2023, a teenager in Virginia refused School leaders orders to eliminate the US flags of their truck, by Breitbart News.

Another high school student in Indiana who saying The school officials told him to eliminate an American flag that he had in his van refused to meet, the departure reported in March 2024.

In addition, a protest broke out in Oklahoma when the students were said They could not fly the American flag on the campus.

According to Fox’s article, Jensen states that his school has promoted left causes and argued that he has faced the military, border security and express his support for President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, who leads the government department).

Meanwhile, the Baltimore County Public School System said the Jensen campus had already been working to place the flags in the classrooms.

In a statement to Fox, Jensen said in part: “I think that my persistence in defending patriotism can have the eyes of others to the importance of patriotism in our school systems.”

“At the end of the day, I think it was beneficial, not only for me, but for the entire school community. It serves as a reminder that it is our responsibility, as citizens, hold our government responsible and I think I did it within my school,” he added.
