Oakland man sentenced in unlawful gun possession case

Oakland, a 35 -year -old Oakland man, was sentenced to almost six years in a federal prison for being a criminal in possession of a firearm and ammunition, prosecutors said.

Michael Tatum declared himself guilty of the position in January 2024, according to the United States prosecutor’s office.

Duration A search in the Tatum residence in February 2022, the agents of the law found five loaded weapons, including one that was stolen and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, prosecutors said.

The officers also confiscated around $ 148,530 in US currency.

In addition to a 70 -month prison period, Tatum received the order to meet three years of supervised release and fixation in recovered firearms, ammunition and currency.

Tatum is ready to begin complying with his sentence on July 22.
